Hello Oro Continua Friends! I know I have been “missing” the past few months, but I come with good news to all my dear readers.
If you have wondered where I have been, what I have been up to, and if I would ever post again (Insert dramatic breathing sound here) then I am here to tell you about my latest project/collaboration and info about future posts for Oro Continua.

The good news is that I am now a contributor at The WILD Magazine. I am currently helping out with fashion stories and some of their social media that requires the composition of images. I am having a lot of fun putting the stories together and adding that “oomph” to all the posts with the usual Oro Continua touch (You all know I love powerful visuals and attention-grabbing visuals!!! ). This is the reason I haven’t been able to post as often on the blog. Nonetheless, Do not fear!!!! You can definitely still follow my work at The WILD magazine, where you can hopefully get your dose of Oro Continua visuals along with great fashion stories to stay updated on the latest in the fashion world. Hopefully along the way you can also stop by and read the many other posts that The WILD has to offer. The magazine has got an awesome team of contributors that create awesome posts about art, fashion,music and current world issues. They are awesome, and I have no doubt you will love keeping up with their blog. I will keep posting on here when new personal projects begin happening throughout the year, but meanwhile it would be my honor if you followed my work at the WILD.

Better late than never right?

Finally finished editing my December 2012- Jan 2013 vlog. Enjoy!

How about a good snack to kick off the week?
In this case a healthy one…

That’s right! A Little blonde salad!

I have memories of my early college days, having breakfast overlooking the mountains of Georgia, and enjoying Chiara Ferragni’s addictive blog.

Loving her clothes and SHOES. Reading all about her fashionable adventures and wishing I were her best friend haha! Who wouldn’t want to be Chiara’s BFF? LOL

So without much thought, I figured it was about time I created an illustration for Chiara. Though, the illustration needed a purpose… How about, creating a new header for her famous blog?

The Blonde Salad has had the same image as the header for quite some time now, so I decided to take care of such situation and design a new header image for the website. I guess at the end of the day, she might never read this post, or might dislike the image I created. Nonetheless, I try to keep all my dreams alive these days. I am going to wish upon a star and see if I can make this happen. Fingers crossed

Chiara, if you are reading this, it would be my honor for you to use the illustration below, as the header for your blog. It would make my (day week month) YEAR.

Designing for some of my fave Youtubers

I have recently been fascinated by Youtubers.

I am currently subscribed to so many channels that I thoroughly enjoy watching. It is fantastic how technology allows us to be a part of each other lives. Our world is filled with talented individuals, and YouTube has done a great job at making it accessible for us to enjoy and learn from videos made by people who willingly share their lives and their work with us.
The most wonderful part about this group of illustrations is how much one can learn by simply embracing other people’s style. It is so easy to get stuck in “what’s safe” or what’s popular in society. That is why this challenge of designing for individual’s who’s fashion has already gotten a strong style, was absolutely inspiring. It was a great learning experience to create looks that were true to my style, but also kept the core of what makes these YouTube stars so magnificent.

I hope you enjoy the illustrations, I will leave a tag under each sketch with the YouTube channel corresponding to each person. Make sure to go and check them out! These guys are pros at what they do.

Elle Fanning Red Carpet Looks

There is no doubt that the Fanning genes are filled with talent.
I personally feel like it was just yesterday that I was watching Dakota dance around in a pink ballerina skirt with Brittany Murphy; and even though time flew right before our eyes, the most wonderful part about seeing the girls grow up, is to see them become such fine young ladies.
Ever since I spotted Elle Fanning on Teen Vogue I fell in love with her look. I think it would be a dream to get to design for either one of the Fanning girls. I love how they always looks so elegant and put together. Love how they style complicated pieces into chic, modern and youthful outfits, and most importantly, I love how they always look so classy.

Recently I watched the trailer for Elle Fanning’s new movie “Ginger and Rosa”. The trailer had me head over heels at the first 10 seconds of footage. What a production! The visual aesthetics were impeccable. I can’t wait to watch the film and keep feeding my current inspiration revolving around cuban history, the 1960′s and the idea of young pure-hearted females in history.

So as usual, I decided to create a few looks for Elle Fanning, keeping in mind that award season is coming up. Although the looks are different to her usual style, I know no better that to style people with my personal touch. Ha!
